Industry leaders, council officials, stakeholders, and climate experts recently gathered in Bradford to discuss the city's ambitious hydrogen project, aimed at shaping the region's low-carbon future. The project, spearheaded by the Bradford Low Carbon Hydrogen initiative, in collaboration with N-Gen Energy and Hygen, is poised to revolutionize the local economy. With the capacity to generate £120 million and 125 jobs, the project received substantial attention during a summit at the City Hall. The hydrogen facility, set to be the UK's largest under the Hydrogen Allocation Round 1, will produce 12.5 tonnes of hydrogen daily, a significant step towards sustainable energy usage. Bradford Council and West Yorkshire officials are optimistic about the project's role in meeting climate targets and fostering economic growth.
