California has been selected as the first state to receive federal funding under a program aimed at establishing regional hydrogen hubs to promote the use of hydrogen as an energy source for vehicles, manufacturing, and electricity generation. The California Hydrogen Hub initiative will kickstart with an initial $30 million for planning and design, eventually scaling up to a total of $1.2 billion to support the project. This effort is a significant part of President Biden's agenda to combat climate change and transition towards clean energy solutions.
