RWE has launched the Hydrogen Education Programme in partnership with Generation C to educate schoolchildren about the crucial role of hydrogen in achieving net zero and decarbonising industries. The programme offers interactive activities connecting classroom learning to real-world applications, with a focus on hydrogen's properties, production, and its growing usage in clean energy. Piloted at Henry Tudor High School and Golden Grove Primary School, the initiative aims to showcase how hydrogen as a clean energy source can reduce emissions in transport, manufacturing, and energy sectors. The programme includes group challenges designed to encourage critical thinking about global climate issues and highlight RWE's hydrogen projects. RWE's Hydrogen Development Manager emphasized the programme's impact in equipping young people with the knowledge and inspiration to make a difference in the fight against climate change. The initiative not only aims to raise awareness but also inspire future careers in clean energy by encouraging STEM exploration. Additionally, RWE's recent approval for the RWE Pembroke Green Hydrogen Project, highlighting their commitment to decarbonisation and supporting the transition to a cleaner energy future.
