Hygreen Energy, based in Beijing, China, and Madrid, Spain, has unveiled its latest innovation in the hydrogen production sector - the Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolyzer system. This new addition to their product line marks a significant milestone as it expands their offerings beyond alkaline and PEM electrolyzers to cater to a wider range of hydrogen production requirements globally. The AEM electrolyzers introduced by Hygreen Energy are highly customizable, capable of producing up to 100 Nm3/h (500 kW) of hydrogen while operating efficiently across a load range of 10% to 120%. The system boasts several key features such as a plug-and-play solution, adherence to advanced safety standards, and a broad operating load range, ensuring flexibility and reliability. The inaugural recipient of Hygreen's AEM system is the ambitious "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Homes" project in China. As part of this project, a 10 kW system is scheduled for delivery in September 2024 for technology demonstration and research purposes, with commissioning expected in October 2024. CEO Benny Wang expressed confidence in the AEM system, emphasizing its safety, operational flexibility, and ease of deployment, positioning it competitively across various applications alongside the company's existing electrolyzer offerings. Utilizing AEM technology, which employs anion exchange membranes to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, the new electrolyzer operates at lower temperatures and pressures, enhancing overall efficiency and scalability. These characteristics are particularly crucial for applications in the renewable energy and industrial sectors, underlining the potential impact of Hygreen Energy's innovative solution on advancing hydrogen production capabilities.
