Element 2, a hydrogen refuelling station operator, has joined forces with French firm HRS to expand the hydrogen refueling network in the UK. The collaboration involves the installation of a cutting-edge HRS14 station at Teesside International Airport in Darlington. This bi-pressure station, funded by Innovate UK, will offer green hydrogen to support trials of commercial vans, passenger cars, and airside vehicles. The aim is to cater to the rising demand from commercial fleet operators in the UK. Notably, this station marks the third HRS station in the country, contributing to the government's goal of achieving 10 GW of hydrogen production by 2030 and establishing a comprehensive refueling station network.
