Innomotics GmbH has secured a significant order from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Colorado to supply rectifier power systems for their green hydrogen electrolyzer facility. The NREL has ordered three Innomotics PR150 rectifiers, known for high efficiency, which will be installed at a premier energy test facility by 2026. This initiative underlines Innomotics' commitment to advancing green hydrogen technology, a key element in reducing CO₂ emissions and promoting renewable energy. The PR150 rectifiers are designed for both low- and medium-voltage applications and specifically cater to hydrogen electrolyzers with power ranges of 5 to 16 MW. The units will be manufactured in Nuremberg and then delivered to the U.S. for installation. This project marks a pivotal step in supporting decarbonization goals across various sectors and contributes to the growth of the global hydrogen economy. The demand for cost-effective hydrogen technologies like the PR150 is expected to increase as they play a crucial role in accelerating the adoption of green hydrogen and renewable energy.
