Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) has marked a milestone in sustainable transportation by launching 21 Class-8 heavy-duty hydrogen fuel-cell electric trucks, Hyundai XCIENT, in Bryan County, Georgia. These trucks, developed in partnership with Glovis America, will transport vehicle parts between regional suppliers and Hyundai's Megasite, significantly reducing carbon emissions in logistics operations. The company's CEO, Mr. Oscar Kwon, emphasized the importance of these trucks in generating sustainable transportation solutions due to their minimal environmental impact, emitting only water vapor as a byproduct. Hyundai's creation of the HTWO brand further solidifies its commitment to a clean energy future, integrating the entire hydrogen value supply chain for production, storage, transportation, and utilization. As part of its partnership with Glovis America, Hyundai plans to establish a mobile hydrogen refueling station at the Megasite, paving the way for a sustainable hydrogen logistics ecosystem.
