Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) has partnered with Glovis America to introduce 21 Hyundai XCIENT heavy-duty hydrogen fuel-cell electric trucks for clean logistics operations in Ellabell, Georgia. These trucks will transport vehicle parts from HMGMA suppliers to the Megasite, showcasing the company's commitment to sustainability and reduced emissions. The initiative is part of Hyundai's strategy to promote responsible environmental stewardship through zero-emissions technology. Earlier this year, Hyundai Motor Group launched HTWO, a hydrogen value chain business brand, underlining its focus on the entire hydrogen value chain. The deployment of the XCIENT trucks for logistics operations is a key initiative of HTWO. HTWO Logistics, a joint venture between Hyundai Motor Company and Glovis America, will also set up a mobile hydrogen refueling station at the Megasite to facilitate efficient refueling. This move is expected to contribute to the establishment of a closed-loop hydrogen logistics ecosystem, enhancing the environmental sustainability of manufacturing operations. Hyundai's innovative approach signifies a positive step towards greener transportation solutions and reinforces its commitment to sustainable practices in the transportation industry.
