Vertiia, which operates without generating carbon emissions, has completed over 50 untethered flights post its inaugural take-off earlier in the month. The flight, powered by batteries and adhering to Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations, signifies a significant step towards eco-friendly aviation. Designed to cover distances of up to 1,000 kilometers using hydrogen at speeds of 300 km/h, Vertiia can carry a pilot and four passengers. AMSL Aero is scheduled to commence hydrogen-fueled flight trials in 2025, aiming for certification and commercial deployment by 2027.
