Boeing has entered into a strategic partnership with Norsk e-Fuel to accelerate the production and availability of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the Nordic region and globally. This collaboration aims to support the commercial aviation industry and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) member states in achieving the common goal of net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. Norsk e-Fuel will be producing electro-SAF (e-SAF) through the Power-to-Liquids (PtL) process, utilizing green hydrogen and recycled CO2 to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions in air travel. The partnership involves Boeing's investment in one of Europe's initial industrial-scale PtL facilities, which will play a vital role in increasing the supply of SAF.
