Croatia Airlines has reached a significant milestone by taking delivery of its first A220-300 aircraft at the Airbus Mirabel site in Canada. The delivery marks the beginning of the airline's fleet renewal project with new-generation aircraft, the largest endeavor in its 35-year history. This A220-300 is the initial aircraft from an order of 13 A220-300 and two A220-100 planes. The A220-300 boasts remarkable capabilities, including the ability to fly up to 3,600 nautical miles non-stop, with a 50% reduced noise footprint and NOx emissions 40% lower than industry standards. Airbus's A220 aircraft have solidified their position as a leader in the small single-aisle market, with over 900 aircraft ordered by various customers by June 2024. This delivery signifies a positive step for Croatia Airlines towards modernizing its fleet and enhancing its operational efficiency.
