CQUniversity has appointed Paul Hodgson as the new Director of the Centre for Hydrogen and Renewable Energies (CHRE) with a vision to support the transition towards hydrogen and clean energy. Hodgson aims to link and showcase energy transition research across CQUniversity campuses to empower industry partners and new industry clients. With a focus on Central Queensland's energy-intensive industries like LNG and coal, Hodgson plans to leverage renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and hydrogen to drive economic diversification in the region. He aims to establish partnerships, provide training, and create sustainable local jobs through education and research. Hodgson, a CQUniversity alumnus with a background in clean energy, sustainability, and regional development, looks forward to driving innovation and sustainability practices in the region for long-term economic and social prosperity.
