Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) celebrated success as two projects they advised on received accolades at the prestigious IJGlobal ESG Awards 2024, a competition that attracted over 600 submissions worldwide from the infrastructure and energy sectors. One of the winning deals involved WFW advising KGAL's Article 9 Impact Fund on investing in a groundbreaking hydrogen-based e-kerosene production plant in Vordingborg, Denmark. This project, developed by Arcadia eFuels, aims to be the first of its kind in the EU, producing synthetic, climate-neutral aviation fuel from self-produced green hydrogen. The second award was for Eavor's geothermal project in Geretsried, Bavaria, Germany. WFW played a pivotal role in supporting Eavor with project contracts, financing arrangements, and integrating EU subsidies for the innovative Eavor-Loop technology.
