px Group has revealed an innovative partnership with OXCCU to pioneer a First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) demonstration plant at Saltend Chemicals Park, focusing on converting carbon dioxide and green hydrogen into sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). OXCCU, a carbon-to-value company, has successfully developed a revolutionary process that directly converts CO2 into SAF, streamlining the production process significantly. The project, expected to start operations in 2026, aims to produce 160 kilos of liquid fuel per day, primarily SAF, showcasing a commitment to sustainability and carbon reduction. This venture coincides with the UK government's efforts to establish the country as a leader in SAF production, with plans for multiple commercial plants by 2025.
