Walsh highlighted the growth strategies of Royal Air Maroc and the National Airports Office as pivotal in unlocking Morocco's potential as a hub linking Africa with Europe and North America. The ambitious plans of Morocco position the country as a crucial aviation link between continents, especially emphasized in preparation for hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup. There is a call for investment in cost-effective infrastructure and smart regulations to support this growth. Sustainability is a cornerstone of Morocco's aviation strategy, with Royal Air Maroc expanding environmental assessments, participating in sustainability programs, and exploring sustainable aviation fuel production, including green hydrogen. The WSOC 2024 conference aims to address critical aviation issues such as artificial intelligence, geopolitical risks, and energy efficiency, fostering partnerships for industry safety and sustainability.
