Swiss manufacturer Sirius Aviation has revealed its partnership with Designworks, the design studio of BMW, to develop two hydrogen-powered luxury business jets, the Sirius CEO-Jet and Sirius Adventure Jet. These aircraft, showcased at the Move Expo in London, boast zero-emission capabilities and vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) features. The propulsion system, utilizing a hydrogen-electric powertrain and fuel tank, aims to enhance flight time beyond that of fully electric models. With noise levels under 60 dBA at a distance of 100 meters, the aircraft are designed for efficiency and comfort. The CEO-Jet targets the private business aviation segment, offering eco-friendly travel with luxurious amenities, while the Adventure Jet caters to passenger and cargo transport, medical evacuations, and various operations. Sirius plans to establish serial manufacturing and secure certification for the Sirius Jet family by 2028, with deliveries starting in the same year. The company envisions a network expanding across the Americas, European Union, and Gulf Cooperation Council countries, emphasizing improved travel efficiency and luxury experiences. Notable features include customizable interiors, parachute safety systems, and efficient hydrogen usage, setting a new standard for hydrogen-powered aircraft in the aviation industry.
