Tree Energy Solutions (TES) and SOCAR, Azerbaijan’s national oil company, have entered a Joint Study Agreement to explore the development of an electric natural gas (e-NG) project in Azerbaijan. This partnership aims to evaluate the technical, economic, and commercial viability of utilizing TES's advanced technology for producing e-NG in the region. Azerbaijan, with its strategic location and SOCAR's energy expertise, provides an ideal setting for this innovative project. The e-NG produced could potentially be distributed to Europe through existing infrastructure like the Southern Gas Corridor. TES is known for its expertise in e-NG production, a clean fuel generated using renewable electricity and CO2. Their innovative module setup is designed to efficiently produce e-NG, offering a promising avenue for sustainable energy development in Azerbaijan. The study will assess the project's parameters and benefits, including the establishment of green energy infrastructure, job opportunities, and environmental implications. SOCAR's regional knowledge will be pivotal in maximizing the project's local impact. The CEOs of both companies expressed excitement about the collaboration. Marco Alverà from TES highlighted the importance of leveraging existing infrastructure to unlock hydrogen's potential through e-fuels, emphasizing the immediate impact on global decarbonization.
