At the Times Network India Economic Conclave, Vijay Nirani, Founder and MD of TruAlt Bioenergy, unveiled plans for India to house one of the largest sustainable aviation fuel plants globally. Highlighting the significant role of fuel consumption in airline emissions, Nirani emphasized the necessity of alternative fuels like biofuels due to the impracticality of using batteries or green hydrogen to power planes. TruAlt's aviation fuel plant will convert agricultural and biomass waste into aviation biofuel, addressing India's high gas import rates while promoting sustainability for farmers. Additionally, the company intends to establish numerous Compressed Biogas plants nationwide.
