Verdagy, a green hydrogen solutions provider, has entered a strategic partnership with Petron Scientech to expand its production of green hydrogen for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and e-methanol biorefinery. Verdagy will supply over 320MW of eDynamic alkaline electrolysers to support Petron's sustainability-focused biorefineries. Petron Scientech, with over 35 years of experience in renewable sustainable chemical processes, aims to scale production capacities to multiple gigawatts. The partnership aligns with Petron's goal of engaging leading airlines and shipping companies for the offtake of SAF and e-methanol produced using green hydrogen. Verdagy's CEO Marty Neese expressed the company's vision of providing green hydrogen at fossil parity costs within five years to drive mass adoption and lower carbon emissions. The company's recently opened electrolyser manufacturing facility in Silicon Valley, California, is poised to begin production in Q1 2025. Verdagy's technology is designed to seamlessly integrate with renewable energy sources, maximizing asset utilization and lowering the levelised cost of hydrogen. The partnership between Verdagy and Petron represents a significant step towards advancing green hydrogen production and promoting sustainable fuel solutions in the aviation and shipping industries.
