Windcat, an offshore wind crew transfer company, has expanded its agreement with Anglo-Eastern to provide management services for its six new Elevation Series Commissioning Service Operation vessels (CSOVs) in Vietnam. These CSOVs are set to be the first of their kind fitted with hydrogen propulsion technology, marking a significant advancement in the offshore industry. The partnership aims to set new standards in the sector and offer innovative services globally. The vessels, developed through collaboration with Damen Shipyards and CMB.TECH, are being constructed in Vietnam and are expected to be delivered by 2025. Windcat's managing director expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting Anglo-Eastern's expertise in ship management. The hydrogen dual-fuel CSOVs are designed to accommodate a crew of up to 90 offshore wind technicians at sea for extended periods. Anglo-Eastern's CEO praised Windcat's trust in the company for this project and emphasized a joint commitment to a greener future through investments in clean energy technology. This partnership signifies Anglo-Eastern's dedication to managing environmentally friendly fleets, following their involvement in projects focusing on ammonia and LNG.
