Maris Fiducia, under the leadership of Quint Vedder, is embarking on an ambitious project to construct a new fleet of low-emissions vessels for trade in the Baltic Sea and North Sea regions. The first series of five ships, currently under construction, will utilize a combination of biodiesel and hydrogen fuel cells to navigate the Baltic area. Maris Fiducia plans to further expand its fleet by building an additional five vessels, with the support of the Norwegian Government, equipped with 10 fuel cells to power two Z-drive propellers. These vessels are intended to operate within Norwegian waters and Scandinavia, albeit being subject to the availability of alternative fuels. The company's long-term vision includes the establishment of hydrogen bunkering infrastructure in the Baltic area to facilitate the refueling of these eco-friendly vessels.
