Technip Energies has secured the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract from bp for the H2Teesside project in the North East of the United Kingdom. This project is set to become one of the largest low-carbon hydrogen production facilities in the UK, fully incorporating carbon capture technology. The company will utilize its expertise and global best practices to deliver a comprehensive design for the project, aiming for a final investment decision by 2025. If selected, Technip Energies will proceed with providing the full Engineering Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) package. H2Teesside, as part of the East Coast Cluster, will not only focus on hydrogen production but also on integrating with other decarbonisation initiatives in the region. Moreover, the captured CO2 from the facility will be transferred to the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) CO2 gathering system.
