The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two companies outlines the integration of Amogy's advanced ammonia-cracking technology into Yanmar's hydrogen internal combustion engine (H2ICE). This collaboration aims to offer a comprehensive and cost-effective solution for utilizing low-cost hydrogen fuel in maritime applications. Amogy's technology utilizes cutting-edge catalyst materials to efficiently convert ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen at lower temperatures, reducing heating and maintenance needs while ensuring durability. By combining this technology with Yanmar's H2ICE, the companies envision a clean energy solution that can significantly reduce carbon emissions in the marine industry.
