This initiative, set to commence in December 2025, aims to prioritize environmental sustainability in transport solutions. Under the 10-year agreement, which can be extended until 2042, Arriva will manage bus and train routes in the Achterhoek and Rivierenland regions. Noteworthy aspects of the contract include plans to replace the current bus fleet with electric vehicles, continue operating hydrogen-powered buses, and upgrade the train fleet for enhanced passenger comfort and energy efficiency.
