Newsom celebrated the $12.6 billion agreement, which includes $1.2 billion in federal funding. This project, part of the Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHES), aims to revolutionize industries and decarbonize critical sectors. Secretary of Energy Jennifer M. Granholm praised the endeavor, highlighting the importance of clean hydrogen in addressing carbon emissions. The event showcased various hydrogen-powered transportation projects, underscoring the potential of this technology. California's coalition of partners, supported by the Biden-Harris administration, received $12 million for hydrogen projects across the state.
