Geely's London Electric Vehicle Company has successfully integrated zero-emission models into London's iconic Black Cab fleet, with almost 8000 vehicles on the road. On the other hand, BYD has introduced the BD11, a double-decker bus powered by cutting-edge Blade battery technology, designed specifically for London's transport needs. The BD11 boasts a 532kWh battery and rapid charging capabilities, allowing it to be fully recharged within two hours. This initiative aligns with the UK's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Beyond London, the BYD-powered buses are making their mark in New Zealand, with companies like Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) producing electric buses on BYD chassis. New Zealand is pushing for a shift to electric buses, with a government mandate for councils to exclusively purchase electric buses from 2025.
