Daimler Truck has announced the receipt of €226m in funding from Germany’s Ministry for Digital and Transport (BDMV), Baden-Württemberg, and Rhineland-Palatinate to support the development, production, and customer adoption of 100 hydrogen fuel cell trucks in Europe. The funding will primarily be directed towards advancing the technology required for hydrogen-powered trucks and evaluating the infrastructural requirements for their operation. The goal of this initiative is to not only enable the small-scale production of these trucks but also to facilitate their adoption by customers.
