Hydrogen Utopia International PLC has entered a significant partnership with TF Capital Dooel to establish a waste plastic-to-hydrogen facility in North Macedonia. The collaboration, spearheaded by HUI's subsidiary HUI2021 International UK Limited, involves TF Capital taking on key responsibilities such as securing permits, conducting feasibility studies, and devising business and market entry strategies. TF Capital will also play a role in identifying potential clients, investors, governmental partners, and exploring state aid opportunities. As part of the agreement, HUI will provide monthly payments to TF Capital until mid-November 2025 or until a building permit is granted, with TF Capital set to receive a 5% share in the future facility's operational entity. HUI's CEO, Aleksandra Binkowska, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, praising TF Capital's comprehensive approach that covers the entire project cycle from sourcing feedstock to financing and sales. Binkowska highlighted North Macedonia's growth trajectory and the company's eagerness to not only expand within the EU but also beyond. Notably, Binkowska sees North Macedonia as uniquely positioned to skip the conventional transition to electric buses and directly embrace a hydrogen-based economy, citing the country's current learning curve from others' electrification challenges. The CEO views this collaboration as a pivotal moment in HUI's strategic advancement, anticipating positive outcomes. The partnership signifies HUI's commitment to sustainable solutions and innovation in the renewable energy sector, particularly in promoting hydrogen as a key element in the transition to cleaner energy sources.
