Kerala's Finance Minister, KN Balagopal, has presented the state's budget for the upcoming fiscal year, focusing on enhancing the transport infrastructure. With a significant allocation of Rs 178.96 crore to the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), including Rs 107 crore specifically for new diesel buses, the government aims to improve public transport services. Additionally, Minister Balagopal mentioned the allocations made to KSRTC, showcasing a substantial increase compared to previous periods. The Transport Minister, K B Ganesh Kumar, reassured pensioners of uninterrupted payments and shared positive news about KSRTC's recovery, mentioning plans to introduce 1,000 new buses to the fleet.
