In Makkah, Saudi Arabia, a pioneering initiative is underway to introduce hydrogen-powered buses for sustainable transportation. The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, in partnership with the Ministry of Energy, has launched a pilot project focusing on hydrogen fuel cell buses on specific routes. The primary objectives include exploring the applications of hydrogen in transportation, acquiring technical expertise, and preparing for potential future expansions. This strategic move also aims to increase public awareness of hydrogen technology and emphasize its role in promoting clean energy.
