Orlen S.A. has introduced its first hydrogen station in Poznan, Poland, offering refuelling services for cars, trucks, and buses. This station is part of the Clean Cities project, co-financed by EU funds and national resources under the 'Green Public Transport' program. It is specifically designed to fuel 25 buses of the municipal transport company MPK in Poznan. The facility operates 24/7 and is open to the public, facilitating the refuelling of all hydrogen-fuelled vehicles. Over the next 15 years, Orlen plans to supply 1.8 million kilograms of hydrogen fuel for the fleet, showcasing a long-term commitment to sustainable practices. The company aims to expand its reach by establishing a comprehensive network of more than 100 hydrogen refuelling stations by 2030 in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. These stations will be supplied with hydrogen from a European network of hubs powered by renewable energy and advanced technologies converting municipal waste into low-emission hydrogen. This strategic approach highlights Orlen's dedication to environmental protection and innovative solutions for the transport industry, promoting a cleaner and greener future.
