Polsat Plus Group Leading the Way in Green Hydrogen Infrastructure Development in Poland
Key Ideas
- Polsat Plus Group secures funding from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency for a hydrogen project, including the construction of 5 hydrogen refueling stations and green hydrogen production facilities.
- The project aims to enable the refueling of hydrogen buses, cars, and trucks, contributing to the growth of green vehicles and improving air quality in Poland.
- The NESO brand of hydrogen refueling stations, powered by solar panels and energy storage facilities, offers a modern and self-service refueling experience, supporting the spread of green hydrogen in the country.
- Polsat Plus Group's commitment to a zero- and low-carbon energy strategy includes producing green energy from renewable sources for the generation of green hydrogen, further promoting sustainable practices.
Polsat Plus Group's companies, PAK-PCE Biopaliwa i Wodór and PAK-PCE Stacje H2, have taken a significant step towards advancing green hydrogen infrastructure in Poland. With funding secured from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, Polsat Plus Group is set to construct 5 hydrogen refueling stations and green hydrogen production facilities with a total capacity of 5 MW. This initiative, supported by the CEF Transport - Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility program, represents an investment of about PLN 64 million. The network of NESO hydrogen refueling stations, already operational in Warsaw, Gdansk, and Rybnik, is expanding to include locations in Gdynia, Wroclaw, and Lublin. These stations will facilitate the refueling of hydrogen-powered vehicles, playing a key role in reducing emissions and enhancing air quality. The overall goal is to promote the adoption of green vehicles running on clean and zero-emission green hydrogen, thus mitigating the environmental impact of traditional combustion engines. The NESO stations, characterized by their sustainable energy practices such as solar panel power and self-service options, offer a seamless refueling experience, with refueling times comparable to traditional petrol stations. Polsat Plus Group's holistic approach to sustainable energy includes producing green energy from renewable sources like solar and wind, further underscoring their commitment to a low-carbon future. By integrating green hydrogen production and refueling infrastructure, Polsat Plus Group is paving the way for a more sustainable transportation sector in Poland.
