The JV, comprising SKS Coachbuilders and Sun Credit, will design and manufacture 55 single deck hydrogen fuel cell buses to support the Kuching Urban Transportation System project. The contract, valued at RM122.4 million, will span 43 months and aims to enhance first and last-mile connectivity. The contract signing ceremony highlighted the commitment to building a reliable and eco-friendly public transport network in Kuching. The move towards hydrogen aligns with Sarawak government's goal to advance the hydrogen economy and promote decarbonization.
