Solaris has secured a notable order for 15 hydrogen buses from the German carrier Oberbergische Verkehrgesellschaft (OVAG) to improve public transport in Gummersbach, Germany. The delivery of the hydrogen-powered Urbino 12 buses is scheduled for 2025. These vehicles will be equipped with modern fuel cells boasting a total power of 70 kW, supported by Solaris High Power traction batteries to meet peak electricity demands. Additionally, a 160 kW central electric motor will drive the buses, with heating provided by a heat pump.
