Wrightbus, a leading UK bus manufacturer, has partnered with Forsee Power to repower over 1,000 diesel buses into electric ones over the next three years. This initiative is part of Wrightbus' NewPower enterprise, focusing on replacing older diesel engines with zero-emission electric powertrains. Leveraging its expertise in zero-emission public transport, Wrightbus has established a hi-tech factory in Bicester, Oxfordshire, for this purpose. The retrofit involves removing the combustion engine, exhaust, and tank and replacing them with an electric motor and Forsee Power's ZEN PLUS battery systems, offering energy density, long cycle life, and compliance with industry standards. Wrightbus aims to accelerate transport decarbonization through this strategy. Forsee Power, a key player in battery solutions for buses, offers a range of technologies to meet various operating needs. Their ZEN PLUS battery systems, selected by Wrightbus, provide competitive Total Cost of Ownership for fleet operators.
