Wrightbus, a UK-based manufacturer, has supplied twelve fuel cell buses to WestVerkehr GmbH in Germany, adding to the growing fleet of hydrogen buses in the country. This partnership will see the deployment of the Kite Hydroliner FCEV buses in the Heinsberg, Hückelhoven, and Erkelenz regions, close to the Netherlands border. The CEO of Wrightbus Group announced plans to have around 130 hydrogen buses in operation by the end of 2025, furthering the adoption of green energy in public transport. In addition to the bus deliveries, Wrightbus has established a European service center in Brühl, a move towards building a network of service centers across the continent.
