Yutong, a prominent player in the development of zero tailpipe emission vehicles, recently achieved a significant milestone by delivering its 200,000th such vehicle. This accomplishment comes less than 25 years after the introduction of their first vehicle in 1999. The fleet of 200,000 vehicles comprises both buses and coaches, available in electric and hydrogen variants, underlining Yutong's commitment to sustainable transportation. Ian Downie, Head of Yutong UK, expressed pride in this achievement, highlighting that these vehicles have collectively covered an impressive 44.2 billion kilometers in operational service. Additionally, the environmental impact of these vehicles is noteworthy, with the emissions benefits equivalent to planting 140,000 hectares of trees. Yutong UK, in collaboration with Pelican Bus and Coach, is eager to showcase their zero emission buses and coaches, alongside diesel coaches, at events like the Euro Bus Expo. This platform allows them to engage with customers and emphasize the crucial role of buses and coaches in sustainable passenger transport.
