Accelera by Cummins, the zero-emissions business segment of Cummins Inc., has recently expanded its operations by opening a new manufacturing line at its Fuel Cell Systems Production Center in Herten, Germany. The new production line focuses on producing proton exchange membrane (PEM) stacks and fuel cell modules designed for heavy-duty commercial vehicles such as trains, buses, and trucks. This move further solidifies Herten as a clean technology hub in Germany, with a specific emphasis on providing green hydrogen solutions for customers. The establishment of this new production line has led to the creation of more than 100 new jobs in clean technology, along with a significant capital investment exceeding $15 million USD.
