Developed on the Siemens Mobility Vectrain platform, this cutting-edge train can achieve speeds of up to 230 km/h. The collaboration involves the delivery of 180 cars, forming 20 trains, with each train comprising second-class cars, first-class cars, and a dining car. These cars are being assembled at the Škoda Vagonka plant in Ostrava. The ComfortJet is designed to offer a comfortable traveling experience, equipped with modern conveniences like air conditioning, USB outlets for device charging, and tailored spaces for passengers with reduced mobility, wheelchairs, bicycles, and large luggage. The trains will be operational on various routes, including the Prague-Berlin route starting in September 2024.
