The second edition of the Global African Hydrogen Summit is set to be hosted in Namibia from September 9 to 11, 2025. The summit saw the participation of heads of state, ministers, industry experts, and youth, highlighting the growing interest in hydrogen technologies. Important milestones were shared by Namibia's Green Hydrogen Program, with collaborations with the EU, Dutch, German, and Belgian governments. Significant grant funding totaling 8.8 million Euros will support various initiatives such as environmental assessments, infrastructure development, and capacity building. Partnerships with international institutions aim to de-risk green hydrogen projects and promote trade in the sector. Plans include launching the Green Maritime Corridor Study and engaging in dialogues with civil society and international organizations to advance sustainability goals.
