Siemens Mobility has successfully launched the first Mireo Plus H hydrogen trains in Germany, with authorization for passenger service in Berlin-Brandenburg and Bavaria. These hydrogen-powered trains are part of the company's commitment to emission-free mobility. The trains will use locally produced hydrogen in their fuel cells, reducing CO2 emissions significantly. Additionally, battery trains will be introduced in the East Brandenburg network, further contributing to sustainability by eliminating local CO2 emissions and reducing diesel fuel consumption. In the Danube-Isar network, new Desiro HC and Mireo trains have been deployed to enhance accessibility and passenger comfort. The Regensburg-Danube Valley network will also see the introduction of Mireo trains, showcasing innovation in the rail transportation sector.
