Advancing Global Research: WUN Network Backs Academic Freedom and Green Energy Research
Key Ideas
  • Ruhr University's postdocs receive support from WUN for two research projects focused on academic freedom and green hydrogen in Southern Africa.
  • The academic freedom project led by Maximilian Schell aims to assess the role of universities in sustainable development globally.
  • The green hydrogen project led by Elkhan Sadik-Zada explores the potential of green hydrogen for energy transformation in Southern Africa with diverse WUN partner universities.
  • Both projects contribute to WUN's goal of fostering innovative research on sustainable development goals and encouraging international collaboration.
The Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) is backing two new research projects by postdocs from Ruhr University, with one project focusing on academic freedom and the other on green hydrogen for Southern Africa. Dr. Maximilian Schell's project will analyze the role of universities in social responsibility and sustainable development globally, leveraging the diversity of WUN's partner universities. On the other hand, Dr. Elkhan Sadik-Zada's project will explore the potential of green hydrogen in addressing energy transformation challenges in Southern Africa. Both initiatives align with WUN's mission to promote high-quality research on sustainable development goals. These projects not only enhance collaboration within WUN but also foster partnerships with strategic institutions like the University of Tsukuba and the African Research Universities Alliance.
