The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China and Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) is set to commence on September 4. Namibia's Ambassador to China, Elia Kaiyamo, shared his expectations for the upcoming summit, expressing Namibia's interest in exploring potential hydrogen projects with China. Ambassador Kaiyamo also emphasized the importance of fostering educational exchange by increasing the number of Namibian students studying in China. Additionally, he highlighted the significance of enhancing ties between the business communities of Namibia and China. The ambassador's proactive approach towards leveraging the FOCAC platform for discussing hydrogen initiatives and strengthening bilateral relations reflects the growing interest in sustainable energy collaboration and international cooperation between Namibia and China.
