The Federal Government of Nigeria, in partnership with the Foundation for Sustainable Social Responsibility in Emerging Africa (FOSSREA), is set to host the country's first International Hydrogen Conference in Abuja from November 26th to 28th, 2024. The conference, themed 'Building a Hydrogen Economy for Nigeria,' aims to showcase hydrogen as a clean energy source with the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance energy efficiency, create jobs, and drive economic growth. With over 1,000 attendees expected from Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Americas, the event seeks to facilitate partnerships to shape Nigeria's energy future. Key figures, including the Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Gas) and the Nigerian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Industry, Trade, and Investment, will be present alongside industry leaders and policymakers to discuss topics such as hydrogen production, investment opportunities, policy frameworks, and technology transfer. The conference will feature cutting-edge research, innovative technologies, exhibitions, and networking sessions, emphasizing the importance of hydrogen in unlocking Nigeria's energy potential.
