The city of Belfort in France recently acquired a fleet of eight articulated Urbino hydrogen buses from Solaris, enhancing its public transport system. This purchase was made through a contract signed between Solaris and SMTC, with the Régie des Transports du Territoire de Belfort (RTTB) set to operate the buses. The hydrogen buses are equipped with a sophisticated system including a 100kW fuel cell and high-capacity hydrogen tanks. Additionally, the buses feature Solaris High Power batteries to support peak electricity demand and a 240kW electric motor. The innovative design of the buses includes a modular drive system for efficient use of space and increased passenger comfort. The vehicles also boast high-efficiency air conditioning and the eSConnect monitoring system for remote fleet management.
