Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (BPCL) has taken a significant step towards enhancing its sustainable energy portfolio by approving joint venture agreements with Sembcorp Green Hydrogen India Pvt. Ltd. and GPS Renewables Pvt. Ltd. The collaboration with Sembcorp Green Hydrogen will focus on developing and operating renewable energy projects, green hydrogen production, and its derivatives across India. Simultaneously, the partnership with GPS Renewables aims to establish compressed biogas (CBG) plants nationwide, with a focus on production, operations, maintenance, and sale of CBG and its by-products. BPCL plans to hold a 50% share in both joint ventures, showcasing its commitment to promoting green initiatives and sustainable solutions in the energy sector.
