Daewoo Engineering and Construction Co., Ltd. and HDF Energy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on HyPower hydrogen-to-power infrastructures in Asia. The partnership aims to accelerate the decarbonization of the petrochemical sector by utilizing hydrogen as a byproduct to produce low-carbon electricity on demand. The MoU was signed at the Indonesia International Hydrogen Summit event in Jakarta and marks a significant milestone in promoting hydrogen applications within the industry's supply chain. HDF Energy, a global player in the hydrogen industry, recently launched a high-power fuel cell factory in Bordeaux, France, with plans to expand production capacity to 1 GW by 2030, focusing on heavy maritime and rail mobility sectors.
