Spray Engineering Devices Ltd. has entered into a significant agreement with the Himachal Pradesh government to establish India's first integrated manufacturing facility dedicated to Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Green Hydrogen, and 2G Ethanol in the Solan district. The investment for this pioneering project amounts to INR 1,400 crore, marking a substantial step towards sustainable energy practices in the region. Initially, the facility will operate with 30 MW of green hydrogen capacity, with plans for expansion to 50 MW in the future, offering employment opportunities to around 1,000 young individuals. Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, emphasized the state's commitment to transitioning into a green energy state by 2026. To support this vision, the government is actively engaged in various initiatives, including the establishment of a 1 MW Green Hydrogen plant in partnership with Oil India Ltd. in Nalagarh. The Chief Minister's directive to the company to complete the project within a year underscores the administration's focus on timely execution and the advancement of green energy solutions. This venture not only showcases the state's dedication to environmental sustainability but also sets a precedent for other regions to follow suit in embracing renewable and eco-friendly practices.
