Hydrexia, a global integrated hydrogen solution provider, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Worldwide Energy Development SDN BHD (WEDSB) in Malaysia to collaborate on developing the hydrogen market in Selangor. This partnership aims to support the sustainable energy development plan introduced by the state government as part of the Selangor Hydrogen Oriented Resources (SHORE) initiative. The agreement involves leveraging the technology, market resources, and capabilities of both companies to advance the hydrogen infrastructure in Malaysia. The collaboration between Hydrexia and WEDSB will focus on establishing a comprehensive hydrogen infrastructure that includes production, transportation, storage, and refueling stations. Hydrexia's magnesium-based solid-state technology will play a key role in this infrastructure development. Additionally, the partnership will involve cooperation with the Institute of Sustainable Energy & AAIBE Chair of Renewable Energy at Universiti Tenaga Nasional, as well as UNI10 Energy SDN BHD, an engineering services company in Malaysia, to conduct research and implement the infrastructure plan across four phases slated for completion by 2040. George Gan, the CEO of Hydrexia Southeast Asia, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration and highlighted the company's commitment to supporting the renewable energy initiative in Selangor. He emphasized Hydrexia's ability to contribute value through its innovative solutions and products, aiming to facilitate the successful implementation of the SHORE initiative with WEDSB.
