Hydrom has launched a significant initiative in partnership with the Oman Vision 2040 unit and the Ministry of Energy and Minerals by introducing a two-week Ecosystem Readiness Lab. The primary objective of this lab is to advance Oman's green hydrogen production targets for 2030. During the opening session, HE Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, stressed the urgent need to strengthen Oman's infrastructure to support a robust green hydrogen sector. He emphasized the importance of building a strong foundation to utilize the country's natural resources effectively, enhance local capabilities, and foster international collaborations. Managing Director of Hydrom, Abdulaziz Al Shidhani, encouraged participants to actively engage in achieving the lab's goals. The lab's primary focus is to assess Oman's infrastructure readiness across five critical areas and create a comprehensive roadmap to bolster the nation's green hydrogen ambitions. The Ecosystem Readiness Lab is designed to evaluate and prepare Oman's infrastructure to ensure the country is well-prepared to meet its green hydrogen production targets and take advantage of emerging opportunities in the sector.
